Młodzi i kino
Termin nadsyłania tekstów: 31 sierpnia 2026 r.
Proponowany numer chcemy poświęcić młodym twórcom i twórczyniom, których obecność od początku kształtowała dynamikę rozwoju polskiej kinematografii. Interesuje nas, w jaki sposób młodość ujawnia się w formułowaniu nowej estetyki i postaw światopoglądowych, a także w sporach i napięciach towarzyszących zmianom pokoleniowym. Szczególną uwagę poświęcamy debiutom – zarówno tym, które otwierały drogi dalszego rozwoju, jak i projektom zapomnianym, przerwanym lub niespełnionym – analizowanym w kontekście instytucjonalnym, estetycznym, politycznym czy technologicznym. Zachęcamy do refleksji nad tym, jak młode pokolenie funkcjonuje w obiegu festiwalowym i dyskursie krytycznym oraz jak poprzez strategie autoekspresji i autoprezentacji współtworzy wyobrażenia nowoczesności w kinie.

Youth and Cinema
Deadline for submissions: August 31, 2026
The proposed issue will be devoted to young filmmakers whose work has shaped the dynamics of Polish cinema from its very beginnings. The special issue will be examining how youth manifests itself in the formulation of new aesthetics and ideas, as well as in the debates and conflicts emerging from generational change. Particular attention will be paid to debut works—both those that opened new paths for artistic development and those that were forgotten, abandoned, or never realized—analyzed within their institutional, aesthetic, political, and technological contexts. We also encourage reflection on how the younger generation functions within the festival circuit and critical discourse, and how, through strategies of self-expression and self-presentation, it contributes to the idea of modernity in cinema.

- Young filmmakers’ presence in the festival circuit
- Education and professional development of young filmmakers
- Institutional support for emerging filmmakers

- Youth as an ideological project in the history of Polish cinema

We invite submissions of scholarly articles related to the theme of the planned volume, as well as texts not directly connected with the issue’s main topic.
